JCW20 JCh Conan Of Kahnawake x Emma Of Kahnawake

Conan Of Kahnawake and Ronja (Emma Of Kahnawake) mated on October 24^th. On November 24^th, pregnancy was confirmed by an ultrasound scan, and since December 19^th we knew Ronja was expecting five puppies.

In the morning of December 24th, labor was getting harder and the first boy was born around 1:30 pm, three hours later the second one. Number 3 took only about 35 minutes. Afterwards, Ronja was lying in the whelping box with her three black and white boys, taking a rest. At 7:00 pm a black and white girl was born.

Then our stamina was challenged. Ronja was hungry, and after her meal, she took a nap. Even though delivering these pups never turned out to be risky for Ronja, it was tiring. Helmut and I were suffering from a Covid infection and despite of a nap now and then, we were quite exhausted after 2 days of supporting Ronja. We made her walk around to start over labor, and so the last pup, a gray and white girl, was born about 20 minutes before midnight.

Hence, for us this litter is named the Jul’babies.
