Snow is a daughter of Shakaar (Inner Vision Carbon Monoxide) and Ezri (Zaltana Kissed By An Angel In Kahnawake) from our litter G, Born in November 2021. She lives in South Germany with a family who breed Labrador Retrievers (kennel Challey’s Doghouse, LCD/VDH/FCI). Snow was shown several times and gained excellent results. November 2022, she was awarded Best Junior with the winner titles Alpenjugendsieger and Jugendsieger Baden-Württemberg at the CACIB Karlsruhe. She is a happy family dog, roughing up the Labby pack.

We chose Mika (GJW23 GerJCh GerCh The North’s Wind Savannah des Sarmentins) to sire Snow’s first litter because of his excellent results and even more his sound character. Mika is bred by Amanda Gonzales (Élévage des Sarrnentins, SCC/FCI) and lives with our breeder friend Simone Heidt (Siberians Of Savannah Town, DCNH/VDH/FCI) in South Germany.

On March 27th 2025, Mika was bred to Snow. It was worth the wait, after a short while Snow showed signs of pregnancy, and echoing her 4 weeks later gave proof to our hope. She was expecting at least five babies. With time going by, pretty Snow was getting bigger and bigger, so that we were starting to wonder how many pups she was going to give birth to.

About two weeks before her due date, Snow moved in at our home. She had an x-ray, showing six well grown babies.

Snow decided to hurry up, so the pups were born on Monday, May 26th, yet she took all day to deliver. At 4:00 am, she went to potty in the garden, a second time at 6:00 am, and being in labor, she was very anxious, not to lose a baby outside. At 8:07 am, the first boy was born, Leo. After a long break of more than two hours she delivered the second pup, Lioba. And almost four hours later she came up with another little girl, Lydia. Snow acted instinctively and calm and unpacked her babies by herself, hardly needing any help.

Number four, Leocadia, the smallest pup, was born right after. Then she took another four hours break. The next pup was born within his amnion, but when Snow opened the sac, we noticed that the pup was saggy and didn’t make any attempt to breathe. Apparently his nose and throat were bathed in mucus. For about 15 minutes we cleaned the little boy’s, Laurentius’s, nose and mouth, massaged and ventilated him, while his tonicity was improving, until finally our efforts were paid off and he kept up breathing calmly and constantly.

Snow finished giving birth at prime time with a little boy, Levi. This gave us the chance to spending the evening relaxing together with the little family in the whelping box.

All puppies had gained some weight during the night, the last ones of course less than the first, but the all aligned quickly.

The pedigree of the litter can be viewed at Pedigree Online.

The pups have a very good grade of genetic diversity due to a very low arithmetic COI and a very low loss of ancestors. Both parents are linebred from healthy and predominantly long-living ancestors.

Last year on Christmas Eve, Snow’s full sister Ronja (Emma Of Kahnawake) gave birth to a beautiful litter of five, the Jule’Babies, sired by our homebred boy Conan (CJW20 GerJCh Conan Of Kahnawake). With Mika and Snow, we are hoping for another very consistent litter.
