A Great Day For Leeta

We had entered Tyra and Leeta for the Spring Specialty of the Siberian Husky Club Deutschland in Langenscheid. It turned out to be a very well organized show with many participants, most of them from working and racing lines.

Tyra (Josepha Of Kahnawake, Conan x Ronja, born 12/24/2023) was pretty excited and romped the roing, yet breed judge Arnaud Eggemann (FR) treated her nicely, and she gained an excellent assessment and was placed third out of seven young girls. Although even now she sometimes runs riot, we and her family are very proud of her.

Leeta (Hermione Of Kahnawake, Abahachi x Opra, born 12/01/2022) really annoyed me this morning, because she  had blown the rest of her coat over night. Yesterday’s grooming her carefully had been in vain, she looked like a poorly plucked chicken. When we arrived at the show, I had to brush her very thoroughly, and the result didn’t please me at all. But swhowing dogs you have to deal with bad luck sometimes.

Yet, Leeta showed herself confidently and attentively and moved smoothely – that was quite important when competing with working and running line Siberians. She gained an excellent first place in a striong open class of ten bitches, and as a breeder handler, I am very, very proud of her.

For the fifth time our beautiful girl won her class and so finished her German championship that day.

Unfortunately we could not stay much longer at the show. Tyra’s little two-legged sister had to be taken care of, and we had some guests that day, and I also wanted to look after Ezri and the K’babies.

So Tyra had the chance to crown the day playing with Leeta and her granddad Shakaar in our garden.
