Today we went to the vet clinic with the pups and their mom for checkups, vaccinations and the implantation of the chips. Apparently, the trip there was torture, especially for Mato (aka Clemens) who was screaming and screaming, until I let him rest at my feet. Resting his head behind a purse, our little hero could put up with the rest of the trip.
The vet was very pleased with each of the pups. Size, weight, health condition, bite, umbilicus, behavior – everything fit wonderfully, and with the boys everything is in place. They got their vaccination and chipping with only little grumbling. Only little Mato, nervous as he was, did a little squeal.
Now mommie Nukka was carefully checked and found hale and hearty. 😉 Her coat is slowly coming back and she will quickly gain some weight, as soon as she is no longer worrying about her babies.
After leaving the vet we made a detour to Marburg, from where we returned home with the sleepy pups and their mom. On the return trip everybody was sleeping peacefully, while back home the famous four were impatiently waiting for us.
Tomorrow the club’s breed warden to check if we bred and raised them according to the rules of our kennel club. While there is always a chance for surprises when it comes to health, we are not anxious about this date.
